About BEF

Mission

The Beaverton Education Foundation supports strong public schools in our community by funding programs that increase student achievement and success.

History

Founded in 1988, the Beaverton Education Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting public education in Beaverton. BEF provides financial support for programs and activities outside the normal school day that would not otherwise occur. From the 1999-2000 to 2007-2008, over 750 grants and awards totaling $1.6 million have been awarded to benefit our community's students. In addition, $215,000 has been awarded to high school service groups for immediate use in thier schools. Members of these high school groups act as Student Ambassadors for the annual BEF phone campaign.

The Foundation funds grants.

Board of Directors

Led by a dynamic Board of Directors, BEF greatly enhances the education of Beaverton kids. The Foundation strives to encourage and seek private funding for support.
