2010 Classroom Innovation Grant
The Beaverton Education Foundation announces the expansion of the BEF Classroom Innovation Grant program. There will now be two rounds of grants awarded each year. All District staff, at all locations, are encouraged to apply for grants of $500 to $1,000 for student engaged projects that enrich learning and encourage classroom innovation.
An additional pool of funds is available to promote science, technology, engineering and mathematics, through the Building STEAM 4 All program and the Dave Gettling Technology Fund.
To apply, please use the 2010 BEF Classroom Innovation Grant application. The scoring guide, used by the grant decision committee, is available to assist you. Application deadline – September 7, 2010
Submit applications to the Beaverton Education Foundation, 3800 SW Cedar Hills Blvd., Suite 168, Beaverton, OR 97005 or via Interschool Mail, attn: Beaverton Education Foundation.
If you are submitting your application on the deadline week, you may hand deliver the application to our Foundation office or the District Central office main reception area, to ensure that your application is received on time.
Applications must be received by the deadline date.
Applications received after the deadline date will not be accepted.
The second round application will be posted 11/30/10, applications will be due 1/31/11 and awarded 2/23/11.

2011 BEF Kids Count Grant
The Beaverton Education Foundation (BEF) encourages Beaverton School District staff to apply for funding for summer or after-school programs that provide students with tutoring and/or enrichment opportunities that enhance learning. BEF Kids Count Grants are program grants of $5,000 to $10,000.
Applicants are required to submit a BEF Intent to File form by January 25, 2011 to be eligible to apply for a BEF Kids Count Grant.
The 2011 BEF Kids Count Grant application will be posted 11/22/10. The scoring guide, used by the grant decision committee, and Frequently Asked Questions, are available to assist you.
