Looking Forward

Welcome to 2017!

The Beaverton Education Foundation is grateful for your past support of the students and programs in our Beaverton school communities. Now in our 28th year, BEF has been fortunate in funding exciting teacher-designed grant programs for our ever-increasing number of students. These programs have far-reaching impact on students throughout our schools.

For some, like Rae, it percolates for years. When Rae was a 5th grader, her Hazeldale Elementary School teacher was awarded a Beaverton Education Foundation grant for a geocaching unit.

Rae recalls, “When Ms. Corris told our class she’d received the grant, we cheered! We played the geocaching game on sunny days, and everyone had so much fun. It felt more like play time than school time.”

Last year alone, BEF brought 76 inspiring school experiences, like the one that inspired Rae, to 20,000 students throughout Beaverton’s 51 schools.

Generous donors like you help BEF reach Beaverton’s 41,000 kids and teens with intriguing, hands-on learning opportunities. Transforming teachers’ and students’ dreams and goals into reality.

A closing note regarding Rae, she is set to start college this Fall. Her chosen discipline is Environmental Science. That’s been a perfect fit since 5th grade.

Rae thanks BEF.

And BEF thanks you.

Enjoy a peaceful and prosperous New Year.
