Thank you, Beaverton!

Thank you, Beaverton!

Thank you to our Beaverton community, which rallied in support of our 53 public schools by donating over $109,000 to the Beaverton Education Foundation during our 20th annual Phone-a-thon.

This success is made possible by 350+ high school volunteers, more than 50 adult volunteers and the support of 1800 individuals who pledged during the five-night phone campaign.

The high school volunteers practiced valuable professional and personal skills at Ruby Receptionists in Beaverton, OR as they made over 30,000 calls over a two-week time period. These students reached out to the community spreading the word of BEF’s work benefiting all 53 of Beaverton’s public schools. If you did not connect with one of our BEF volunteers you can make a contribution today.

Excellent work by the top calling teams of each night: ACMA Dance West, Aloha Choir, Aloha Literary Magazine, Southridge Ski Team, and the Sunset Key Club. Each one of these teams were able to raise the most dollars on their respective calling nights.

The support from our generous community continued, with business partners Reser’s Fine Foods and First Tech Federal Credit Union offering challenge grants to new donors and increased gifts.  We are honored to offer this option and thank you for making this possible.

Special thanks continues to our 2018 business supporters: adidas, Burgerville Signature, Chipotle (Murray Scholls), Costco (Aloha), Dutch Bros (Scholls) Jamba Juice (Murray Scholls), Ingallina’s, Justus Orthodontics, KingPins, LaProvence (Progress Ridge) Pastini (Cedar Hills Crossing), Pizzicato Gourmet Pizza (Murray Scholls), Portland Trail Blazers, Sesame Donuts, Sisters Fruit Company, Target, Topgolf, Whole Foods Market (Greenway), and the Valley Times/Pamplin Media Group.

It takes a community to make strong public schools; thank you, Beaverton, for your support.  You can still help our 41,000 Beaverton students have the opportunity to be inspired, think innovatively and succeed by donating today.
