Thirty Years of Support for our Students

Thirty Years of Support for our Students

We are proud to share the Foundation’s accomplishments for the past academic year, and offer our vision for the future as we head into our thirtieth year of supporting Beaverton students and staff in all of our public schools.

During the 2017-2018 year, 3000 generous donors helped fund 96 programs and activities that reached 22,261 students at the 53 schools in our District.

$279,000 was awarded to District staff and schools for hands-on classroom projects, extended day and year programs, special activities and high school leadership and activity groups.

BEF funded in 2017-2018:

  • Camp Achieve, drawing from students at 9 elementary schools
  • 9 Extended day programs (after and before school),  including one at each of the traditional middle schools
  • Innovation Exposition 18 – all-district event highlighting the innovative and creative ways that students are learning and teachers are teaching
  • 77 classroom projects including 38 elementary schools projects
  • 12 option school projects
  • 21 high school projects
  • 12 middle school projects
  • 54 of the projects and extended day/summer programs funded were through the BEF Building STEAM 4 All program. This promotes activities in science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics.

Our goal this year is to fund 130 projects and reach 30,000 students at all 53 schools, in honor of our 30th anniversary supporting inspiration, innovation, and success.  Your financial support of BEF is vital and ensures that thousands of students benefit from these important hands-on projects and programs.

THANK YOU to the more than 3,000 donors and over 700 volunteers that helped make these programs happen. We know these programs only exist through the insightful work of our school staff and are pleased to be able to provide the means to accomplish these vital hands-on learning for all of our students.
